Globocean has performed an assessment of the wind and wave statistical conditions between the islands of Groix and Belle-Ile (Brittany) for the design of a floating wind farm.
The following missions have been successfully performed by Globocean :
Numerical simulation of the offshore swell (WaveWatchIII software)
Wave propagation within the wind farm area (SWAN software)
Validation of the wave modelling thanks to buoy in-situ measurements (local survey)
Extreme statistical processing of the sea-states (uni-variate extreme analysis by EVA process and bi-variate by KDE contour plots)
1D and 2D spectral characterization
