Globocean has performed a metocean desktop study for the design of the offshore wind turbines deemed to be installed off Dunkirk.
The following missions were performed by Globocean :
Numerical modelling of the wave generation at oceanic scale (WaveWatch III software)
Configuration and execution of the wave propagation model (SWAN software)
Assessment and integration of the tidal levels and currents in the wave propagation modelling
Validation of the wave modelling thanks to in-situ wave buoys (Candhis network)
Assessment of the local wind regime
Statistical analysis of the main wave regime (wave rose) and wind parameters on site (wind shear, vertical variation of the wind speed and direction, turbulence intensity)
